Friends of Maldives removes Universal Resorts from the FOM Boycott list

Universal Resorts Baros and Kurumba, have been removed from the FOM Selected Resort Boycott Campaign following the confirmed resignation of Chairman of Universal Group Mr M.U. Maniku from the post of Special Economic Advisor of President Gayoom.

FOM takes the opportunity of congratulating the Chairman of Universal Group, Mr M.U. Maniku,  in this positive step away from the negative association of President Gayooms Special Advisor.

FOM maintains its willingness to reassess the resorts on the Selected Resort Boycott list if Resort Owners distance themselves from the regime, or use their position to bring significant democratic changes."
