Ibrahim Ismail is MP for Malé, the Maldives’
capital, and has visited FOM and the warehouse in Southampton
on a recent trip to the UK. He met several FOM volunteers
and said how appreciative the Maldivians were for the aid
being provided by the British people through Friends of Maldives.
He told the FOM team how impressed he was by the speed with
which the FOM Aid arrived in the Maldives and its efficient
distribution to the islands where it was most needed. He was
hopeful that the British people and FOM would continue with
longer-term projects in the Maldives.
Ibrahim Ismail gave an interview for BBC South on Thursday
3 February and a second interview on BBC
Programme Asia Today on Sunday
6th February.
